Often she sits here,
Wondering what the world has become
How she can ever be expected to love, when the world teaches hate.
Hate of those who think freely, those who form opinions. She asks herself
For all those that say there’s a God, and he supposedly gave us these mouths, and tongues to speak our words, why can’t we say what we believe is right?
We are taught that love is an amazing thing, and that everyone should experience it.
If everyone should experience it then why are people who choose to love someone of the same sex beaten down. What they are experiencing is love too. Their stomachs still turn at the sight of their lover.
It’s no different from emotions people could feel with someone of the opposite sex.
Her eyes transfer to the morning paper sitting in front of her, the cover screams of the war and its terrors. Questions form once again in her filled head.
How can you send people to be killed? What good does killing the people do? They killed us, but why do we have to steep to their level. The innocent are killed in the country being attacked, Daughters and Sons are lost, and for what?? Because people of their race and religion decided to do something completely horrible, they have to suffer too.
